Gabbro-diabase is a rock with high strength, which directly determines the method of its extraction. The most commonly used method is explosive. First, a deep hole is made in the developed rock by drilling, and then charges are placed in it, after which they are undermined. Further, among the chipped blocks of granite, the largest ones are collected and sent to the site for further processing.

Another method in its first phase is similar to the explosive method. Deep holes must be made in the granite massif. Further, air must be pumped into these holes under high pressure. The described method is called air cushion chipping.

Another method of extracting granite uses stone cutting machines. For mining, disk and wire saws equipped with diamond nozzles are used.

For its production, the Severny Kamen company uses blast-mined blocks. Delivery is made both from our own quarry and from other suppliers.
